HEMA is the research, reconstruction and practise of Historical European Martial Arts. At the foundations of the AMEK lie the roots of HEMA Holland. It has become a household name. We provide national and international classes, workshops and demonstrations under the name Cardozo Swordsport.

Team Cardozo stands for quality and perseverance, both in education as in performance and is there to help you reach your HEMA goals.We have a unique and highly efficient way of training and coaching our students and proud to have produced some of the best fighters in the world today.

The AMEK holds a high record in medals, but winning tournaments has never been our end goal. Our focus lies on staying true to our forebearers in technique, biomechanics and ideals. It's about having a nice training admosphere, where one can enjoy our martial heritage in your own pace with fellow enthusiasts and students of the sword.

The AMEK has five training locations.
All locations have parking facilities and are easy to reach.

Classes are 75 minutes and consist out of a warming-up followed by one or two weapon disciplines. We have special sparring and coaching hours. Apart from getting skilled with medieval weapons, you will get the uppertunity to participate in events, demonstrations, commercials and movies.
